Notice of Public Hearing

PUBLIC NOTICE

Pursuant to the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Orangeburg, S. C., a meeting of the Board of Zoning Appeals of the City of Orangeburg has been scheduled in the City Council Chambers, 933 Middleton Street for Thursday, January 29, 2026, at 6:00 P.M.

The purpose of the Public Hearing is as follows:

The consideration of a request from Paragon Inc. of South Carolina LLC for a special exception and parking variance to the property at 237 and 245 Maxcy Street, Orangeburg, SC 29115, Tax Map #0173-15-14-034.000 and 0173-15-14-033.000 to be used for rooming/boarding housing for students.

The consideration of a request from Paragon Inc. of South Carolina LLC for a special exception and parking variance to the property at 550 Bleakley Street, Orangeburg, SC 29115, Tax Map #0173-15-22-002.000 to be used for rooming/boarding housing for students.

The consideration of a request from Hillside Legacy LLC to grant a variance to the side yards and rear yard setbacks for new construction at 128 Cloister Lane, Orangeburg, SC 29115, Tax Map #0151-20-05-024.000.

The consideration of a request from Hillside Legacy LLC to grant a variance to the rear yard setback for new construction at 190 Cloister Lane, Orangeburg, SC 29115, Tax Map #0151-20-05-031.000.

All persons who may be affected by the decisions of the Board of Zoning Appeals in this matter may appear in person, by agent, or by attorney, for the purpose of expressing themselves in support of or in opposition to these matters. Information pertaining to this matter may be examined at City Hall, Public Works Office, 1099 Russell Street, Orangeburg, SC. Written comments in favor of or in opposition may be submitted to David Epting at City Hall.
