Fire Department

The Orangeburg Department of Public Safety Fire Department provides an all-hazards approach to protection of the lives and property of the residents, businesses, and visitors of the City of Orangeburg, South Carolina. This approach includes fire suppression, technical rescue response, hazardous materials response, fire inspections, fire investigations, fire prevention, and public education. In addition to these core functions, members also provide child passenger safety restraint installations, portable fire extinguisher training, and smoke / carbon monoxide alarm installations. ODPS Fire Department provides fire protection services for an estimated 40,000 persons within it's 87 square mile fire district.
