Departments

Administration – coordinates and manages day to day operations of the City and implements the policies, directives, and legislative actions set forth by City Council in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.

Community Planning – considers requests to re-zone property or change the Land Use for business purposes through Public Hearings.

Finance – maintains the annual city budget and corresponding audits for the financial activities impacting the budget.

Human Resources -

Information Technology - provides innovative, quality and secure technology solutions, services and infrastructure that enable city departments to deliver quality services.

Municipal Court – is a court of limited criminal jurisdiction, which initially handles all criminal matters, which occur within the City of Orangeburg.

Parks & Recreation – maintains and develops our parks and facilities to enrich the quality of life in Orangeburg and surrounding areas.

Public Safety - serves all people within our jurisdiction with respect, fairness, and compassion.

Public Utilities – oversees and maintains our electric, gas, water, and wastewater services.

Public Works – maintains the City’s infrastructure with the following divisions: Administration, Airport Division, Building Inspection, Garage, Municipal Building, Parking Facilities, Sanitation, Street and Maintenance.

Service – maintains and provides service for the following city departments: Publics Works, Hillcrest Golf Course, Public Safety, and Parks and Recreations and the citizens within the City.
