City of Orangeburg to Unveil Official Logo for the 2027 Diamond Youth Baseball World Series on August 14
Community invited to celebrate the next milestone as Orangeburg prepares to host the Southeast's largest youth baseball tournament
ORANGEBURG, S.C. – The City of Orangeburg invites the community to attend the official logo reveal ceremony for the 2027 Diamond Youth Baseball World Series (DYB), the premier community youth baseball program in the Southeast where community meets competition. The tournament which will be hosted in Orangeburg next summer, will feature 72 teams, comprised of boys ages 9 through 12, competing over two weekends, drawing thousands of players, families and fans from 11 states and a host team in both Division I and Division II AAA Minors, Majors, and “O” Zone. The logo reveal will be held on Friday, August 14 at 10:30 AM at the Orangeburg Recreation Park (North Road Complex), 224 Magnolia Village Parkway, Orangeburg, SC 29118.
The logo unveiling marks another exciting milestone as Orangeburg continues preparations to welcome teams, families, and visitors from across the Southeast for the 2027 Diamond Youth Baseball World Series. The unveiling ceremony will provide the public with a first look at the official branding that will represent the tournament and the City throughout the year leading up to the championship.
Hosting the Diamond Youth Baseball World Series is expected to generate significant economic impact for the City and Orangeburg County while showcasing the community’s outstanding recreational facilities, hospitality and commitment to youth athletics.

The unveiling of the official logo is an exciting step in our journey as we prepare to welcome thousands of athletes, coaches, families and visitors to our community,” said Mayor Michael C. Butler, City of Orangeburg. “This event represents teamwork, community pride and our commitment to providing an unforgettable experience for everyone who comes to our great city.”
The City encourages residents to attend the unveiling and join in celebrating this exciting moment as Orangeburg continues its preparations for one of the largest youth sporting events ever hosted in the community.

The City of Orangeburg outbid three other municipalities to secure the tournament. The City previously hosted the 2024 Coach Pitch World Series, which had an estimated $1.4 million economic impact. The upcoming 2027 tournament is projected to bring three times that economic benefit, highlighting the City’s continued commitment to youth sports and community development. Additional announcements regarding volunteer opportunities, sponsorships, tournament activities, and community events surrounding the 2027 Diamond Youth Baseball World Series will be shared in the coming months.
