Special City Council Meeting

PUBLIC NOTICE 

FRIDAY, January 9, 2026, AT 11 AM

 

 

Orangeburg City Council will hold a Special Meeting on Friday, January 9, at 11 AM in City Council Chambers, 933 Middleton Street for the following purpose:

 

EXECUTIVE SESSION

  1. Discussion of negotiations incident to proposed contractual arrangements and proposed sale or purchase of property and the receipt of legal advice. Section 30-4-70(a)(2) and Section 30-4-70(a)(5) – Project Panther.

 

OLD BUSINESS

  1. Second Reading of an Ordinance approving the City Administrator to negotiate and enter a contract to finance and acquire certain fire protection motor vehicles, and related equipment in an amount not to exceed $945,630; authorizing the execution and delivery of documents necessary to carry out the financing and acquisition.

 

NEW BUSINESS

  1. First Reading of an Ordinance authorizing the transfer of approximately 11.18 acres of real property with improvements, if any, located on Methodist Oaks Drive, with county TMS #0171-00-07-002.000 (portion of) as part of economic development Project Panther; and providing other related matters.
