The City of Orangeburg proudly welcomes Ferrara Candy Company and celebrates this transformative investment in our community. Ferrara’s decision to locate its first South Carolina operation in Orangeburg County—bringing a $675 million investment and the creation of 1,000 new jobs over the next decade—represents a significant milestone in our community’s continued growth and economic vitality.
This project underscores Orangeburg’s strength as a destination for global industry and innovation. The planned 750,000-square-foot facility will not only expand manufacturing capacity but also create meaningful career opportunities for our residents and strengthen our local economy for generations to come.
The City extends its sincere appreciation to Ferrara, Governor Henry McMaster, Secretary of Commerce Harry M. Lightsey III, state and county leadership, and all partners whose collaboration made this announcement possible.
