City of Orangeburg Hosts Community Chat About Utility Bills and Property Taxes
Learn how your bills are calculated and how city funds are allowed
ORANGEBURG, S.C. –The City of Orangeburg invites residents to join the first Quarterly Community Chat for the fiscal year 2025-26 on Tuesday, October 14 at Stevenson Auditorium, 979 Middleton Street at 6pm. Money Matters: Breaking Down Utility Bills & Taxes will help residents understand how utility bills and property taxes are calculated and how funds are allocated across city services.
City leaders will present an interactive session where residents can ask questions and learn directly from officials. Attendees are encouraged to use the QR code provided to submit questions in advance or during the session.
Spearheaded by Councilwoman Annette Dees Grevious, these community chat series are aimed to educate and foster open dialogue between City Council, department leaders, and the community. “Understanding how your city bills and taxes are calculated empowers residents to engage with their government and make informed decisions. We encourage everyone to attend and participate in this educational session,” said Councilwoman Grevious. “Our quarterly community chats are intended for everyone to be informed and encourage others to learn about the joys of living in the city of Orangeburg.
