The Municipal Court of Orangeburg is a court of limited Jurisdiction located at 1320 Middleton Street in Orangeburg, South Carolina. The Court operates from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM Monday through Friday. Traffic tickets may be paid at that location during normal business hours. Bond hearings for all city arrests are held at 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM daily. The Municipal Court handles all traffic tickets issued by the Department of Public Safety as well as all misdemeanor arrests within the city. Bench Trials are held beginning at 9:00 AM each Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday for approximately 3 hours each day. The second full week of each month is our Jury Trial Term. Generally, eight to ten jury trials are disposded of each month.

     Criminal Domestic Violence Court is held the last Wednesday of each month. During the 2006-2007 year, Municipal Court handled in excess of 8000 cases. All court is handled by the city's only Judge, the Honorable Barney M. Houser.
