A Note to Potential Sponsors:

Thank you very much for your interest in supporting our recreation and leisure programs. Many opportunities exist within the City of Orangeburg Parks and Recreation Department to lend a hand, and such support from outstanding businesses and civic groups like yours is not only a tremendous asset, but a necessary ingredient for the success of our ventures.

Youth sports teams such as baseball, softball, soccer, basketball and football, are each represented by an individual sponsor. A one-time fee of three hundred dollars ($300) or one hundred eighty dollars ($180), depending on the sport and league, will help provide game officials, participation awards for each team member, and jerseys with the sponsor’s name for players and coaches. Additionally this will help make available quality, intrinsically rewarding recreation opportunities for many youth in the Orangeburg area, and may expose them to fun-filled leisure pursuits that they otherwise might not experience. Each sponsor will receive publicity in the Times and Democrat in the form of schedules, game results, and league standings, as well as a sponsorship plaque with a team picture. Schedules and standings can also be viewed throughout the season on this website. Should your team capture the league title, a championship trophy will also be awarded to your organization. Prior to the beginning of the season, a roster of your team’s players and coaches, along with a game schedule will be mailed to you, allowing you to keep up with you team.

Our adult softball and basketball teams are organized somewhat differently, but are each also represented by an individual sponsor. The team members provide their own uniforms, and the sponsorship fee is three hundred ten ($310). As with the youth leagues, each sponsor will receive publicity in the Times and Democrat and on this website. Sponsors attached to a team winning the league championship will receive a trophy, as well.
